About Our Pastor
Min. Selena Montgomery
Min. Selena Montgomery was born in November of 1967 in Newark, NJ to the late Bishop Abraham, and Evangelist Sarah Sabb (Founders of Non-denominational House of Prayer for All People, founded in 1968). It was under the spiritual guidance, and nurturing Leadership of her parents that she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at 8 years old.
Growing up in the church, she served in almost every capacity of the church out of obedience to her parents, and her love for God. The Elders of the church and those that knew her spoke of a future in Ministry over her life even as a little girl. Although Min. Montgomery was sincere in her childlike faith, she was not exempt from the peer pressures and temptations that adolescent years present. Despite this, she still graduated from Arts High School and sang in several choirs, glee clubs, and ensembles.
At the age of 23, Min. Montgomery recognized her true need for the Holy Spirit to influence her life, and accepted Christ for real, on a deeper level.
As everyone does, Min. Montgomery had her fair share of ups and downs, her faith has been challenged on many different occasions, in various areas of her life, but as promised, ...God has been faithful to her.
After a season of triumphs, trials, and tribulations, the Lord rewarded Min. Montgomery with a do-over in this life called, "the Mercy of God".
In 2005, Min. Montgomery met her now Anointed Covering Bro. William Montgomery and they were married September 15th, 2007, Praise the Lord.
They worshipped and served God together at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Wilkes-Barre, PA where Rev. Michael E. Brewster is the Pastor. Bro. Montgomery served as Head Usher and Min. Montgomery served as the Worship Leader, Missionary, and Director of the Food Pantry. Since then, Min. Montgomery answered the call of Ministry and began the journey by attending ZBI (Zion Biblical Institute) where she received her Certification of Foundational Church Ministries and her diploma in Church Ministries. As the Montgomerys’ journey together in Christ progressed, Min. Selena served as a Volunteer Chaplain at the community hospital. With the loving prayers and support of her Anointed Covering, Bro. Montgomery according to the will of Almighty God, Min. Montgomery received her license to preach in April of 2016. Her motto is to do what you honestly can while you can so that if ever you cannot, you know that when you could, you did...and accept what God allows. Now Min. Montgomery is the Pastor of Non-denominational House of Prayer for All People, planted in Kissimmee, FL, of Polk County, married for 15+ wonderful years and counting. Look what the Lord has done.
